Keeping your home SAFE and SECURE...

There are several ways to deter burglars from attempting to break into your house.  By having a well-lit home with the proper doors, windows, locks and alarms, you can stay ahead of the game.

Be proactive in taking measures to protect your home.  Anticipating troublesome areas and taking action to mitigate those concerns can help significantly in protecting your valuables and providing additional peace of mind.

1.  Inspect your home like a burglar would to find easy points of entry.  Ask yourself, "How can I make these areas more burglar-resistant?"

2.  Trim trees and shrubs around doors and windows, and avoid high wooden fences.  While those things can increase privacy, they can also help burglars gain access to your home.

3.  Force burglars out of the darkness by installing exterior lights and motion detectors that are mounted out of reach.

4.  Security devices like padlocks, door and window locks, grates, bars and bolts can make it more difficult for burglars to break into your home.

5.  Install an alarm system.
